台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日10月08日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は44,534例（うち本土症例44,467例、輸入症例67例）；更に、確診症例中、76例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例44,467例は、5歳未満から90代の男性20,589例、女性23,868例、性別調査中10例だ。患者分布は、新台北市（8,826例）、台中市（5,375例）、台北市（4,879例）、桃園市（4,630例）、高雄市（4,520例）、台南市（3,231例）、彰化県（2,303例）、屏東県（1,223例）、新竹県（1,180例）、苗栗県（1,155例）、雲林県（1,107例）、宜蘭県（1,082例）、新竹市（960例）、基隆市（834例）、嘉義県（765例）、南投県（715例）、花蓮県（651例）、嘉義市（459例）、台東県（295例）、澎湖県（148例）、金門県（109例）、連江県（20例）となる」としている。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例76例は本土症例で、40代から90代の男性39人、女性37人となる。全員が重症患者であり、71例が慢性疾患を有しており、50例は三回のワクチン未完了（66％）

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Oct. 08) that there were 44,534 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 44,467 local and 67 imported cases; further, there were 76 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 44467 local cases today are 20589 males and 23868 females, (10 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s; The distribution of cases is New Taipei City (8826 cases), Taichung City (5375 cases), Taipei City (4879 cases), Taoyuan City (4630 cases), Kaohsiung City (4520 cases), Tainan City (3231 cases), Changhua County (2303 cases), Pingtung County (1223 cases), Hsinchu County (1180 cases), Miaoli County (1155 cases), Yunlin County (1107 cases), Yilan County (1082 cases), Hsinchu City (960 cases), Keelung City (834 cases), Chiayi County (765 cases), Nantou County (715 cases), Hualien County (651 cases), Chiayi City (459 cases), Taitung County (295 cases), Penghu County (148 cases), Jinmen County (109 cases), Lianjiang County (20 cases).
