中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本5月20日、台湾では新たにCOVID-19確診症例が295例増えたが、それぞれ本土症例286例及び、輸入症例9例、確診症例中1例が死亡（第2683号）したと発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに286人の国内症例が見つかったが、5歳から90代までの男性155人、女性131人で、発病日/検査日については、2021年5月1日～5月19日であった。 居住地については、新北市157例（中和区が40例で最多）が最多で、台北市87例（萬華区が40例で最多）、桃園市17例、宜蘭県8例、彰化県6例、基隆市5例、高雄市及び台中市各2例、新竹市及び雲林市各1例となった（宮本注：昨日1例が見つかった台南市はゼロでした）。うち、萬華地区での活動関連者84例（具体的には何を指すのか不明です）、台北茶芸館関連は60例、某社会団体関連7例、果物屋台商人関連4例、遊技場関連2例となっているが、感染源不明なものが63例、その他既に感染源が判っているもの38例、感染源調査中28例となっている。 関連調査は今もなお進行中である。」と発表した。
指揮センターは、新たに増えた死亡例（第2683号）は、70代の女性で、萬華で働いていた。 普段は独居生活を送っており、心臓血管疾患を抱えており、5月15日に脱力感と倦怠感が現れたが、診察を拒んだ； 5月16日、隔離が必要な濃厚接触者とされたが、彼女と連絡が取れなかったことから、衛生単位が警察に支援を求めた。 5月17日、彼女の家族が自宅を訪れた際には生存兆候はなく、検査をしたところ本日確診された（Ct値25）。 5月18日に警察が患者を見つけようと反応したが、17日のうちに死亡していた。 家族には現時点で症状は現れておらず、在宅隔離とされている； 台湾のこれまでの死者累計は15例となった。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on May 20 that there were 295 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan, of which 286 are local cases and 9 are imported cases from abroad and 1 confirmed case has died (Case 2683).
The command center said, the newly added 286 local cases today are 155 males and 131 females, aged between 5 and in their 90s. The date of onset/check-up date is between May 1 and May 19, 2021. The counties and cities of residence are 157 cases in New Taipei City (40 cases in Zhonghe District and less in other place), 87 cases in Taipei City (40 cases in Wanhua District and less in other place), 17 cases in Taoyuan City, 8 cases in Yilan County, 6 cases in Changhua County, 5 cases in Keelung City, 2 cases in Kaohsiung City and Taichung City, 1 case in Hsinchu City. Among them, 84 cases were related to Wanhua District’s activity history, 60 cases were related to tea art houses, 7 cases were related to fruit tray merchants, 2 cases were related to game center. There were 63 cases of unknown source of infection, 38 cases have been found their source of infection, and 28 cases are still under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center explained that
the newly added death case (Case 2683) was a woman in her 70s, who worked in Wanhua. The case usually lived alone and had cardiovascular disease. On May 15 she developed weakness and fatigue, but refused to seek medical attention; On May 16th, she was listed as a contact subject to be quarantined, but because the case continued to lose contact, the health unit referred to the police and political unit for assistance. Her family members visited on May 17 and found that the case had no signs of life. The diagnosis was confirmed today with a Ct value of 25. On May 18, the police unit replied to find the case, but the case died on May 17. The family members of the case are currently asymptomatic and listed in home isolation; my country has so far accumulated 15 deaths.
The command center pointed out that the 9 new cases of overseas immigration today were from the Philippines (6 cases), the United States, South Africa and Indonesia.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(20)日公布國內新增295例，286例本土；9例境外移入；確診個案中新增1例死亡(案2683)。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之286例本土個案為155例男性，131例女性，年齡介於未滿5歲至90多歲，發病日/採檢日介於今(2021)年5月1日至5月19日。居住縣市以新北市157例最多(以中和區40例為多)，其次為臺北市87例(以萬華區40例為多)，桃園市17例、宜蘭縣8例、彰化縣6例，基隆市5例、高雄市及臺中市各2例、新竹市及雲林縣各1例。萬華活動史相關84例、茶藝館相關60例、某社團相關7例、某水果商相關4例、遊藝場相關2例。關聯不明63例、其他已知感染源38例、疫調中28例。相關疫情調查持續進行中。
指揮中心說明，新增之死亡個案(案2683)為70多歲女性，於萬華工作， 個案平時獨居，有心血管疾病，5月15日出現虛弱無力及倦怠情形，但拒絕就醫； 5月16日被匡列為須採檢之接觸者，但因個案持續失聯，衛生單位轉請警政單位協尋。 5月17日家屬前往探視，發現個案已無生命跡象，經採檢於今日確診，Ct值25。 5月18日警政單位回復尋獲個案，但個案已於5月17日死亡。個案家屬目前無症狀，列居家隔離；我國至今累計15例死亡個案。
